Our signature technique. For most beauty lovers, leaning into your mirror to precisely fill in your eyebrows is the most stressful part of your routine. Ombré shading graces you with one to three years of low maintenance for your brows.
The consultation is important. Although you’ve read all of the contraindications before booking and followed the steps before your procedure, we will need to evaluate your skin type, allergies, and any medical conditions. We’ll talk about your lifestyle, makeup, and eyebrow routine. We’ll discuss what your biggest struggle is and what you love about your brows now. And lastly, what style you would like them to look like after the procedure.
After we learn your preferences, we’ll map out, draw, and measure your new brows using your facial features and bone structure so that your new brows fits naturally with your entire face. You’ll be asked to do ridiculous facial expressions (angry face, surprised look, you’ll fake laugh and then laugh for real) to ensure your expressions will look natural. We don’t start until you are completely happy with the shape of your new brows.
The practitioner will create a thin outline from the shop you approved to ensure that it remains during the shading. Numbing is applied to the brow after the outline is created. This is then done on the second brow. At this point we are ready to start the process on the first brow, we will removal the topical numbing cream and the shading will start. We reapply the topical numbing throughout to keep you as comfortable as possible. To create a natural brow, we shade less times in the front of the brow to keep it light and airy and build on the middle and tail to ensure the Ombre effect. The entire process is repeated on the opposite brow to have the same effect. The practitioner will perfect and add any extra shading that is needed before your brows are revealed to you.
No more stressful morning application trying to achieve shape, density and symmetry. No more stress of accidentally wiping your brows away. Go on and jump in that body of water, enjoy your life because we may still have 99 problems but your brows ain’t one!
This part is the beginning of caring for your new brows by following the After Care to ensure proper healing. After the healing process, you get to go out and SLAY with your newly enhanced brow game. Sleep in a little longer. And when your partner asks you when you’ll be ready, you can give a more accurate time (we all know it takes more than 5 more minutes!) and strut with confidence knowing your brows will be appreciated by other brow queens.
Ombre Brows is a two-step (sometimes three-step) process. Before you leave our studio, we will book your second session. At this time, we will revaluate how you’ve healed and go darker or bolder and add more shading where areas have faded.
Until then, enjoy waking up with eyebrows.

Ombre Brows is safe and works extremely well for clients who have suffered hair loss due to illness or other reasons.
Ombre is for people who want to add color or density to their arches, or modify their shape. Ombre brows are also a great solution for people who don’t have their natural eyebrows, like people with alopecia, or people who suffer from hair loss caused by a number of reasons (natural hair loss, invasive treatments such as chemotherapy, postpartum hair loss, etc.). Rebuild your confidence with the full, shaped and styled brows that will get you excited about your look!
“When I tell you I love this group of ladies… I mean it! From the moment I walked through the door, the customer service and professionalism was THERE! They were friendly, upbeat and professional. I would highly recommend Instyle Blading.”
We hate pain, too. Numbing cream is applied for cosmetic tattoo procedures. Yes, there can be some pain associated with the Ombre process, It is a form of tattooing, however, the pain has been reported that it is not like a traditional tattoo. This all depends on your tolerance for pain. Numbing cream is applied throughout to help ease any discomfort. Most clients say it feels like cat scratches. Women tend to be more sensitive during their menstrual cycle and those who have taken alcohol 24hrs before. Please let us know if you have any allergies.
Up to 3 years.
The longevity of your brows depends on your skin type, skin care routine (exfoliating, enzyme facials, chemical peels, laser treatments, & products used), lifestyle (open water swimmer, marathon runner, exercise and perspiration vs. someone who is non-active), how strictly you adhere to before and aftercare, medication, hormones, and sleep position.
All brow technique will fade 10-70% depending on various factors mentioned above. A maintenance boost is recommended yearly after touchup procedure to keep your brows lasting longer. Ombre isn’t a permanent solution due to the depth of pigment implantation, skin cell regeneration, and exposure to the elements (Rain and Sun!). Touch-ups are necessary to keep them looking fresh, colorful, and beautiful.
Of course! First we will take measurements according to your bone structure and facial features. We will draw the shape, reshape, review, and reshape again until you are completely satisfied with your shape. Drawing and measuring your brows take the longest. Each brow design will be customized to achieve the most natural look.
1.5 hours – 2.5 hours
First time appointment: The entire appointment consists of a consultation, before pictures, brow mapping, numbing, actual tattoo process, remapping to ensure symmetry, finishing touches, after pictures, after care instructions, and scheduling a Perfecting Session. Time frame: 2-2.5 hrs.
Touch Ups: Numbing cream is applied, healed photos are taken, we remap your brows, make adjustments, begin the tattoo process, remap again, add finishing touches, take after pictures, and say our goodbyes until your next touch up. This is something you will schedule as needed. Timeframe: 1-1.5 hrs
Tattooing is an art that cannot and will not be rushed. Please plan accordingly. Eat and hydrate before your appointment. Unlike lash appointments, we are patient with bathroom breaks!
For optimal results, a touch up is necessary. Ombre is a two-step, sometimes three-step process. At least two appointments are needed initially. Touch ups are done from no earlier than 6 weeks and no later than 8 weeks.
At the touch up, we assess the color retention and make adjustments as necessary. Everyone heals differently and at different rates. It is expected that ombre does not heal perfectly the first time. We can always adjust color, add more density, and correct any irregularities in the microbladed hair strokes during the touch up.
To keep your brows looking great, we highly recommend coming back yearly for a color boost.
Immediately after procedure you might notice a whiter halo around the brow from the numbing cream.
You may experience the following symptoms for about an hour.
These symptoms are normal part of the healing process.
Remember, your selected color will be much darker and bolder and more sharply defined for 7-14 days after procedure, but as healing process occurs the color will soften and lighten.
In the first few days, you’ll develop a scab. Some people scab in light flakes and some develop a thick scab. Your scabs should naturally flake off in a few days. Every body is different, but whatever you do, do NOT pick at the scabs and make sure you read through and follow the AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS properly to obtain the best results.
If the scabbing phase is not over by 14 days, please continue your Aftercare instructions until scabs are completely gone.
After the scabbing phase is over, you will see that the color of your pigment appears foggy and muted in color because a layer of skin has grown over the pigment to seal it in. Not to worry, over the next several weeks your skin will regenerate and the pigment will be more vibrant in color. The complete healing process takes at least 4 weeks which is when the true orientation of the pigment will show.
For most people, the first 3 days is an “adjustment to your new brows” period. Time off from work is not needed. However, some people may feel uncomfortable with the way treated area looks depending on the person.
Your brows will take 10 days to heal. During that week, it is encouraged you to let them naturally exfoliate off. This means keeping them out of water, sweat, steam, etc. Once the scabbing phase passes, the brows will appear lighter, and their true color should come out after 4 weeks. As long as you’re good at following aftercare instructions, there shouldn’t be a problem going to work or being out in public.
Unfortunately, we do not touch up other artist’s work. You will be treated as a new client and the full price will be charged if the brows have lightened enough. Please email photo to hello@instyleblading.com to be find out if you can be taken on as a client.
Though our faces are NOT perfectly symmetrical (one side is usually flatter than the other), we do our very best to create as much symmetry as possible!
Touch ups are recommended once a year, to keep the color fresh and the strokes crisp. Some clients like to keep them fresh looking and come in before their 12 month mark while others wait 12-18 months in between. It depends on how much ink you retain.
Make sure your brows stay clean and dry for 7-10 days and apply your ointment as directed by your brow artist (twice a day) depending on your skin type. You will want to try to keep your brow area as dry as possible when washing your hair and face. No steam, saunas or complete water submersion for 7 days. A complete aftercare sheet will be given to you at the end of your service and your brow artist will answer any question you may have.
No. There’s no downtime associated with the treatment. Redness and swelling will dissipate within an hour after. Your brows will appear darker initially, but not so dark that you will be prevented from your activities of daily living.
