F.A.Q.

Healed results will vary with each individual client.  No guarantees will be made.  Additional sessions may be required to obtain optimal desired results.  How the skin will react is different for everyone and many factors are to be taken into consideration.  Pre & aftercare instructions, skin type, overall health, healing ability, bleeding during procedure, diet, stress levels, facial products, skin treatment, supplements, medication, old tattoo, scaring, etc. all play a key role in how the pigment will hold, which is why it is important to know that more than one touch up may be required.

We take every precaution necessary to ensure the microblading procedure is as pain free as possible.  A strong topical anesthetic cream is used prior to and during the procedure to keep you as comfortable as possible.  Some clients find the procedure a little uncomfortable while others report no discomfort at all.

We choose a colour together by applying small amounts of different coloured pigments to the skin near to your brows and selecting the best match for your skin tone, features and personal preference. As a rule of thumb, we closely match the color of your brow hair rather than your current hair color for the most natural results.

We use Vegan, free from heavy metals and without testing on animals.  Composition: Deionized water, nonionic surfactant, vegetable glycerin USP, propylene glycol USP and non-toxic pigments free of metals.

No you cannot have this treatment done if you are pregnant in case of infection.  And if you are nursing, it’s best practice to wait till you are no longer nursing,  If you book your appointment and you have these contraindications, your appointment will be canceled and your deposit will be loss.

Microblading can be done over an existing brow tattoo, however the old tattoo must be significantly faded to look as natural as possible. Please advise if you have an existing tattoo and submit a picture to determine if you are a candidate for this procedure.  There is an additional charge for all coverups.

The pigment used with Ombré  brows is semi-permanent and can last between 1.5 – 3 years.  In order to keep your brows looking fresh, a touch up is recommended every 12 months.

For clients that choose a softer look and lighter color shade initially or those who did not follow the after care instructions properly may require more frequent touch ups.

Factors that will cause your brow tattoo to fade faster:
• Iron deficiency
• Sun exposure
• Exfoliants
• Strong immune systems
• Exposure to salt water
• Smoking
• Vigorous activity levels  that cause you to sweat such as working out.

Immediately after your ombré  procedure and in the first 10 days, your brows will appear significantly darker and defined than perhaps your desired look. It may continue to get darker over the next few days as scabs begin to form, however this is not an accurate indication of the finished and healed result. 30-50% of your brow color will fade as the scabs fall off within 3-10 days. In some cases, the scabs may take longer to heal and fall off. DO NOT PICK YOUR SCABS. The pigment is within the scab and you do not want to pull any pigment out of your skin prematurely. If your brow starts itching do not scratch.  For relief clean your brows as we discussed in your aftercare method and blot gently. We all heal differently and what works on one client may not be effective on another so please do not compare your results.

The complete healing process takes approximately 4 weeks.

After your first Appointment your body starts to heal itself.  This involves your brows scabbing, peeling and flaking off.  After this process the skin looks very light, as if it has disappeared.  The color starts to come back, but you do loose ink during this time.  Losing ink takes the brows out of its initial shape. Even though the brows are both on your face, it doesn’t heal exactly the same. The follow up appointment is to add any ink that you loss and to remeasure to get them back to looking as close to perfect as possible.

Ultimately it is your choice to come back or not, but this process is a 2-part process.
